I found myself driving back from a land with castles, peacocks and people from all over the globe wondering what will happen next. My pets were waiting on the doorstep when I arrived, and clearly in need of some attention.

Now that I have unpacked, I have picked up my Harmonica and began to play some tunes. The reflection on these blogs an some fine tuning on my assignment awaits, however, the motivation to dive into them is not on my mind, perhaps tomorrow will be the time to put my pen to paper.

I am sad to see my new friends return home, but know that I will see them online and hopefully as we cross the stage some two years from now.

As I dive into my readings relating to memory retention, I begin to question the memory capacity of a human and see how computers are becoming an extension of our memory, and I wonder if they are slowly replacing our ability to synthesize? The term “Google It,” is becoming an action!

As a social experiment, I wonder how a classroom would go in Information Technology if you removed the method of using a search engine. “Class, you cannot use Google for one entire week!” After the experiment, ask the students how they feel about the loss of the search engine.

Now I dive into a way of blocking search engines for one week, and can I ensure that the integrity of the research will be maintained as blocking a search engine seems very challenging from the technological standpoint.

I woke up this morning and was actually able to remember my dream from last night! Although it is wonderful to recall the experience of dreaming, the content was slightly disturbing! I found myself in a TED talk from Ken Robinson asking myself why I have not been creative? Ken was talking about how I am surrounded by educators and we should never be creative. In my past groups we have taken some “risks,” but have we really?

Are the next set of presentations going to push the bar just a little higher, or will we remain straight laced academics? Is research a risk, I guess the type of research we do will indicate just how much of a risk we are willing to take.

Finally, how does being in a classroom of facilitators impact the thinking process of all of us as we consider delivery models for our own presentations?
